R.V. Barnes

RV Barnes was born October 30, 1933 in Mississippi. He left this earthly home on December 21, 2019 from Dallas, TX. RV was raised by Ruben and Stella Barnes in Winston, Mississippi and graduated from Redwood City High School in 1952. He joined the Navy following high school and was a proud serviceman. He married his one true love Mary Ann in 1954 and they had three wonderful children together.

RV was a carpenter and home repair man, for over 40 years. He made sure his house was always in tiptop shop, and love wood working. RV also enjoyed time at his church along with always helping others. He will be remembered as an amazing husband, loving father, and caring Papa. He will be missed dearly and carried in our hearts forever.

He is preceded in Death by his parents, Rubena and Stella; and his son, Arvey Barnes.

RV is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Mary Ann Barnes; children, Marty Barnes, Mary Jo Collins and husband David; granddaughters, Kimberly McIntosh and husband Trey, Natalie Collins, Erica Vannon, Joann Baker; Great-grandchildren, Justin Barnes, Tiffany Rimmer, Zach Embrey, and Allison Owens, along with James Humphries and many other nieces and nephews.
