Ruth Gould Cohen, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully on July 5, 2024. A native of San Antonio, Texas, Ruth grew up in University Park, where she graduated from Highland Park High School and attended SMU.
Ruth was married to her high school sweetheart, Norman Cohen, for seventy years, until his death in 2023. She is survived by daughters Helene Cohen (Joe Rudberg) and Sheryl Gale (Mike), grandchildren Jennifer Sheinberg, Devon Rudberg (Alejandro Perellón), Cori Ramoin (Joe), Sloan Rudberg, Rachelle Janicki (Dick), Max Rudberg, and Steven Gale (Emily), and great grandchildren Ryder Ramoin, Olivia Ramoin, Catalina Perellón, Sophie Janicki, Tanner Gale, and Cooper Gale.
She will be remembered for her quick wit, her love of fashion, her skill at card games and her boundless love for her grandchildren.
