Rudolph Benavides

A memorial service for Rudolph will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 12:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, Texas 75220. Burial will immediately follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery.

Rudy was born in Dallas, Texas to Alfred S. Benavides and Henrietta Acosta on January 5, 1936. He attended Crozier Tech High School of Dallas Texas. He married Mary Helen Ramirez on February 14, 1957 in Dallas. He was awarded a four-year tennis scholarship to attend Southern Methodist University. Rudy was a four-year letterman and earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography with a minor in Spanish in 1959. He worked as an export manager for Service Industries servicing clients in North, Central and South America. He was an active member of the Pan American Golf Association Dallas Chapter and served as president.

Rudy is preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Helen, youngest daughter Beatrice Benavides Antillon, his parents Alfred Benavides and Henrietta Acosta Benavides, brothers Alfred and Guillermo Benavides and grandson Christopher Michael Benavides. Rudy is survived by his children: Anna Maria Benavides Emdadian and husband Nazar; son Rudolph Benavides Jr. and wife Regina; Michael Benavides and wife Cindy; Annette Benavides Ramos and husband Richard; son-in-law Howard Antillon. He also leaves behind 16 grandchildren: Zainab, Sara, Maysam, Phillip, Kristina, Nicholas, Patrick, Laura, Eric, Damian, Dominic, Joshua, Andrew, Brandon, Gabrielle and Pedro Rodriguez; and seven great-grandchildren: Mohammad-Ali, Illiya, Masoomeh, Hanna, Hannia, Atlas and Tiffin.
