Ruben Gonzalez Garza of Dallas passed away peacefully on November 19, 2016 after a ten year battle with Parkinson. He was surrounded and embraced in prayer by his loving family. Ruben was born on September 12, 1937, in Rodriguez Anahuac, Mexico. Ruben moved to Dallas, with his family when he was 30 years old in 1967. He worked as a Foreman and Lead Carpenter in the DFW area for over 35 years. He was loved by every employer he work for and his dedication and high craftsmanship level was recognized by all his employers. Ruben is now free from pain and will be united by the gates of Heaven with his beloved parents, Jesus Maria Gonzalez Alanis and Andrea Garza Gonzalez, brother, Joel Gonzalez Garza and sisters, Ninfa Gonzalez Garza and Blanca Ruby Gonzalez Garza. Surviving brothers and sisters; Eleazar Gonzalez Garza, Esther Gonzalez Garza, Josue Gonzalez Garza, Rebeca Gonzalez Garza and Mario Gonzalez Garza. Ruben is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Maria Del Pilar Gonzalez Garcia. Daughters and sons; Melba Gloria Siebel, Blanca Laura Pardo, Martha Yolanda Monreal, Ruben Gonzalez, Jr. and Gilberto Gonzalez. Including his son-in-law’s; Pascual Pardo, Oscar Monreal and John Siebel; and his daughter-in-law, Alejandra Gonzalez. Ruben is also survived by his grandchildren; Steven Pardo, Emilie Pardo, Valerie Pardo, Daniela Gonzalez, Ruben Gonzalez III, Isaac Gonzalez, Oscar Monreal, Jr., Tiffany Esparza, Erik Monreal, Amanda Monreal, Benjamin Siebel, David Siebel, Gilberto Gonzalez, Jr., Andrea Gonzalez and Adam Gonzalez. Along with nine great-grandchildren; Christopher Sanchez, Rico Sanchez, Juan Estrada, Jr., Nichole Esparza, Mario Esparza III, Sophia Esparza, Aaliyah Pardo, Samaya Fountain, Phillip McGinnis, Clarissa Rodriguez, Alexi Pardo, and Juliette Pardo. Viewing and Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 27 from 2-6 pm with program scheduled at 4 pm at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 3050 N. Stemmons Frwy., Dallas, TX 75247. Funeral Program scheduled Monday, November 28th at 11 am also at Gonzalez Funeral Home. Burial and Family meal to follow. Burial services will be held Monday, November 28th at Grand Prairie Memorial Gardens, 3001 Belt Line Rd, Grand Prairie, TX 75052 around 2 pm. Family Meal will be hosted at Camp El Har, 5218 Kiwanis Rd. Dallas, TX 75236. Maps will be provided at burial.
