Rosie Lee Peck was born on September 27, 1939 to the parentage of Henry Johnson and Willie Mae Bryant Johnson who precedes her in death. She is the oldest of nine children. She married the late Huey Peck, Sr. In this marriage, seven children were born.
She surrendered her life to Christ at an early age uniting with the New Avery Baptist Church in East Point, Louisiana. One April 20, 1997 Rosie united with St. Paul Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas under the leadership of Rev. Lelious A. Johnson.
Rosie was a beautiful, God-fearing, selfless daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend to so many. She is known for her devotion to her family and friends. Her smile made you smile. She had the biggest heart and shared her love with all she encountered.
Rosie leaves to celebrate her precious memories:
Sister, Elizabeth Roy; Brother, Bennie Johnson; five children; Melvin Peck (Karin); Cornelius Peck (Doretha), Casandra Franklin, Eros Tyrone Peck and Huey Peck, Jr. (Regina) all of Dallas Texas; Twenty-six grandchildren and thirty-five great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Huey Peck,Sr.; two sons Jeffrey Peck and Jerrel Wayne Peck; one grandson, Cornelius Peck, Jr.; one granddaughter Sheena Cooks; and two great granddaughters Jasmyne Peck and Dradasha Peck.
As the matriarch of the family, the love she shared, lessons taught and the life she lived will never be forgotten.
