Living through the Great Depression and WW II left an indelible mark, and taught her the value of friendship, charity, education, creativity, and thriftiness. She moved to Chicago at the age of 17 to attend business school.
After an amazing life of 91 years, she went to meet our Lord February 24. 2012
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Katherine and Josephine, brother John, twin brother Dan, husband Francis, and her sons, John Francis, and Quentin, and is survived by sons, Patrick and Kevin Carr.
Mom was a capable secretary, legal assistant, lawyer, a dedicated wife and an incredible mother to not just her own children, but friends and relatives as well. She enjoyed visiting her friends, gardening, and baking for friends and family.
She attended Mass regularly at Christ the King Church as long as she was able. She was a member of the Altar Society and the Dallas Historical Society. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 12:00 pm Saturday, March 3, 2012 in the Mausoleum Chapel at Calvary Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to VNA Hospice.
