She met Harold Henry Cannon in 1969 and married her high school sweetheart October 2, 1971. The two enjoyed services at New Jerusalem Baptist Church in Saginaw as well as vacationing together around the country. Out of the union came there first and only son, Harold Demond Cannon. Her family relocated in 1982 to Dallas Texas and began work at UT Southwestern Hospital. Through different work experiences, she retired in the department of Otolaryngology and Ophthalmology after 30 years.
On Friday, November 24, 2023, Rosemary Cannon entered into her eternal home of Glory. She was welcomed by her mother, Elva Edwards; and her father, Johnnie Edwards, Jr.
She leaves behind her husband, Harold H. Cannon; her son, Harold D. Cannon; her four grandchildren, Tykeshia, Kirsten, Whitley and Nicholas; and one great-grandchild, Roman. As well as her two sisters, Yvonne Edwards of Tyler, Texas and Phillystine Stevenson of Lansing, Michigan and a host of many family and friends.
