Mrs. Rose Mary Cano

A beloved wife, mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Rose Mary was born on October 21st, 1952 to Nicholasa Rodriguez and John Medrano in Dallas, Texas. She grew up alongside her four sisters, Pauline, Theresa, Carolyn, and Juanita, as well as her two brothers, John and Nicholas.

Those fortunate enough to know her wonderful spirit knew that food was her love language. She was always showing those around her how much she cared by sharing her delicious cooking and baked goods. A God-fearing woman, her faith was a cornerstone of her life, which she shared openly and with love to everyone. She was endlessly selfless, always willing to help anyone in need. Family was the most important thing to her and she enjoyed spending time with her loved ones more than anything. She also adored flowers and plants, nurturing them as lovingly as she did her family. She will be missed tremendously, but forever remembered by her generosity, kindness, and unconditional love.

Rose Mary is survived by many, including her husband, Olegario Cano Jr.; her siblings Theresa and Nicholas; her son Olegario and his wife Leticia; her daughter Priscilla and her husband Jose; her grandchildren, Michael, Janai, Aaron, Belen, Steven, Priscilla, Molly, and Antonio; her great-grandchildren, Madeline Rose, Milton, Zendaya, and Huey; and her basset hound, Sunshine, whom she adored greatly.

The viewing will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home on Monday, April 14th, 2025, followed by the funeral service on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025.
