Born March 5, 1920 went on her last grand journey February 1, 2012, preceded in death by husband Steve G. Castillo. Survived by daughter Marie Mongaras, granddaughters Vivian Foster, Valarie Mongaras, grandsons, Vincent Mongaras and Victor Mongaras. Son Rick Castillo, grandson Austin Castillo and nine great grand children; and is also survived by her sisters Virginia Abeita, Evelyn Lopez and Grace Salas.
Grandma Roses nurtured her entire family, like a master gardener cultivates rose bushes producing treasured blooms.
