Ronald Wayne Mason

Ronald Wayne Mason was born on September 4, 1955, to Velma Lee Mason and Annie Faye Mason (Pryor) in Dallas, Texas. He was one of six siblings and was a Class of 74’ South Oak Cliff graduate. Ron married Edna Mae Renfro in 1987 in Dallas, Texas.

Ron accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and attended Ferris Street Church of Christ until his illness limited his mobility.

Ron’s distinct laugh could be heard by anyone within an earshot and his smile could light up any room that he was in. He was a hard worker who loved life and regularly enjoyed good conversation, social gatherings, barbequing and playing dominoes with his family and friends. All you had to do was name the time and place and he was there.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents Velma Lee and Annie Faye Mason and his siblings Fredrick Paul Mason and Roy Lee Mason (Shirley).

Ron leaves to cherish his memory: His loving wife Edna Mason, his children LaRonshell Hamilton and Lamont Franklin. His grandchildren Keiwuan Mitchell Jr, Raeshon Hamilton and Jhai’Aiyshia Turner, his brothers Donald Mason and Earl Mason (Mildred) and his sister Doris Jean Mason. Along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A visitation for Ronald will be held Friday, October 28, 2022, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 6300 South R.L., Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232. A celebration of life will occur Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 6300 South R.L., Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232. A committal service will occur Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM, 6300 South R.L., Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232. A reception will occur Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM, 6300 South R.L., Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232.
