Ronald Ray Burleson

Ronald Ray Burleson, 75, of Plano, passed away on November 11, 2012. Services will be at 2 p.m. at Ted Dickey West Funeral home, Dallas, TX with George Lamberth officiating. Burial will be a DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, TX. Mr. Burleson was born April 10, 1937 in Elk City, OK to Arthur H. Burleson and Bessie Shelton Burleson. He graduated from Borger High School and went to West Texas State University. He served in the U. S. Marine Corps and at the time of his retirement worked for Spreckels Sugar in Pleasanton, CA. Mr. Burleson enjoyed his retirement golfing and working as a Marshal at Pecan Hollow Golf Course in Plano. Survivors include his wife, Jan; a son Toby Burleson and wife Cindy of Austin; son Greg Burleson and wife Susie of Boise, ID; stepson Brent Snyder and wife Jill of Hartsville, SC; and stepdaughter Dana Peters and husband Mike of Highland Village. He has seven grandchildren, Kelsey Peters, Ashten Burleson, Hayden Snyder, Casey Peters, Zachary Schaller, Jana Reed and Shawn Echols. The family suggest memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
