Roderick Keith Keitz passed from this world February 18, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. Born in St. Louis, Missouri January 25, 1927 to Frances Marie Boren and Elmer John Keitz, he was preceded in death by his mother, father, brother Elmer John (Jack) Keitz, and son Daniel McLeod Keitz CMDR, USN. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Mildred McLeod, sister Alice E. Keitz Taylor, daughter Karen L. Keitz Dunlap and husband Eddie R. Dunlap, daughter M. Diane Keitz Beardsley and husband Randall A. Beardsley, son John Douglas Keitz and wife Elizabeth Stoneham Keitz, daughter-in-law Deborah E. Keitz Sparks, 10 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, and multiple Grand Dogs.
He was a member of Northway Christian Church, a Paul Harris Fellow in Rotary International, and member of the Screen Artists Guild. Rod Keitz was a leader in animation and visual effects and served as Co-Founder, President and CEO of K&H Productions of Dallas. A winner of the Pioneer Award from the Dallas Production Association, Rod Keitz also served as the third President of the Dallas Society of Visual Communications from 1959-1960. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, February 29, 2016 at Northway Christian Church-Dallas 7202 Northwest Highway, Dallas, TX 75225.
