Dr. Robert Alan Weinstein

We mourn the loss of Robert Alan Weinstein D.D.S., M.S., 71, of Addison, Texas, who left us on February 28th of 2015. Husband of Soonja Weinstein; father of Danea Leigh, Soonja (Matt) Heber, Josh (Kami) Weinstein, Mara (Moises) Weinstein Velez, Daniel Weinstein and Sevara Tyrrell; grandfather of Dakota, Canyon and Elia; brother of Loren (Andrea) Weinstein, David (Gayle) Weinstein, Joy (Michael Wingert) Weinstein and Steve (Debra) Weinstein; uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Dr. Robert Weinstein practiced for over 40 years in the specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial and Surgery, having gained extensive expertise in dental alveolar surgery, particularly in wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, general anesthesia, IV sedation, TMJ, facial trauma, reconstructive and cosmetic jaw surgery. He served his community and participated in numerous outreach missions, covering the globe. He was gifted with skilled hands and a sharp mind, and devoted his life to bettering the lives of others. Robert traveled the world and could communicate in over 20 languages. He had a passion for the arts, history, culture and the ocean was his playground. Deeply devoted to his family and friends, his faith, and good health, Robert instilled his values and brought joy into the hearts of everyone he met. He was the life of the party and truly lived life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held in the Main Sanctuary at Shearith Israel, 9401 Douglas Avenue at 2pm on Thursday, March 5, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Shearith Israel or a fund to honor the memory of Abigail Resendiz to be established.
