Robert M. Taylor, born on July 8, 1923, in Abilene, TX, died a peaceful death on Saturday morning, January 11, 2014, in Dallas, TX. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 63 years, Rose Marie Taylor, and his son, Robert Hoyte Taylor. He is survived by his son, Reginald M. Taylor, and his daughter, Kathy J. Lane, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a decorated Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Force during World War II. He dedicated 45 years of service to Southwestern Bell Telephone Company before retiring. Bob was hard working, honest, funny, loving and true, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. The Visitation will be held at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 14, 2014, from 6-8 pm. The Funeral Mass will take place Wednesday, January 15, 2014, at Christ the King Church at 10 am. The Interment will be held at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery on January 16, 2014, at 10 am.
