Rocky was born on July 26, 1959 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, a son of his father: Robert Lee Sullivan Sr., and his mother: Waynonia Jean (Daniels) Sullivan.
Rocky is survived by one daughter: Amanda (husband Trent) Viavattene of Plano, Texas, two grandsons: Riley and Jake Viavattene of Plano, Texas.
He is also survived by his fiance: Sandy Underwood of Laurel, Montana.
Sister: Bobbie (husband Bill) Presson of Oklahoma City, brother: Richard (wife Barbara) Hager of Blanchard, Oklahoma, sister: Brenda Kirkham of Newcastle, Oklahoma, and sister: Tammy (husband Andy) Dillard of Edmond, Oklahoma.
He is preceded death by his parents: Robert Lee and Waynonia Sullivan and one brother: Larry Hager.
Robert grew up and was educated in Blanchard, Oklahoma schools. He graduated from Blanchard High School class of 1977.
After high school Rocky began working at his brothers’ construction business. He later moved to Texas. He worked for many years in construction for the City of Carrollton.
Rocky loved music and playing his guitar. Music was always a part of his life. He was a comedian, always joking, and teasing. Children were drawn to his gentle spirit and his silliness. He enjoyed singing to his daughter, grandchildren, nieces, and loved ones, changing the words to earn giggles and laughter from them.
Rocky was an avid dog lover and dogs loved him in return. He had many special dogs over the years, with Max, Sophie, Ellie, and Echo holding a special place in his heart.
Rocky enjoyed traveling and visiting new places. He experienced trips and vacations with a contagious excitement.
One of Rocky's favorite parts of traveling was trying new foods along the way. He also enjoyed seeing the history of his different destinations. He enjoyed the mountains and being in nature.
His love language was food and he enjoyed watching cooking shows and creating new dishes. He loved for his family to make his favorite dishes and enjoy them together.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life for Rocky will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Plano, located at 1300 E. 15th Street, Plano, Texas 75074.
A reception for the family will be held following the service.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to Help For Homeless Pets in Billings, Montana.
