Robert Verrilli Sands was born June 16, 1928 in Stroudsburg, PA to the late Joseph and Katherine Sands. He passed away March 21, 2012 in Dallas, TX surrounded by his loving wife of 59 years, Marion; daughters, Cindy Lindley and husband Steve and Terry Holmes and husband Phin; granddaughters, Jordan, Shannon, and Evan; and great granddaughter, Ava. He is also survived by his brother Joseph and his wife Marcia; and nieces and nephews. Robert worked in the Insurance industry for over 40 years. He was an active volunteer for the Dallas Arboretum and the Neighborhood Crime Watch. Bob, RV, Daddy, Pappy was loved by many and will be sorely missed by all who knew him. A Rosary followed by Funeral Mass will be 11:30 am, Saturday, March 24, 2012 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9643 Ferndale Rd. Dallas 75238, Rev. Josef Vollmer-Konig, Celebrant.
