Robert “Boby” Prewitt, age 55, passed away on February 27, 2024, in Dallas, Tx. He was born on December 28, 1968, in Dallas, Tx to Robert and Ada Prewitt. Boby was raised in Dallas, Tx and graduated from Lakeview High School in 1987. He married Sharon Melby Prewitt in 1995 and the couple had 2 children. He was a salesman at Blue Linx where he worked for 7 years. He spent 25 years in industrial sales; the last 20 in wholesale lumber distribution.
Most recently in his spare time when he wasn’t enjoying time with his kids and grandkids, he was busy selling antiques, Asian jewelry and art online as well as riding his motorcycle. Boby could sell an ice cube to an Eskimo and make them feel like they got the deal of a lifetime. He enjoyed the arts, including music of all genre’s and acting in community theatre. Sports were important to him, he played football all through school, he was a die-hard Texas Longhorns and Dallas Cowboys fan. He coached Jake and Luke in youth football, basketball and baseball. Coaching kids was something he loved, sharing his knowledge of being a part of a team and watching kids grow to be better athletes. He had a strong Christian background, a man of great faith, he spent a lot of time studying the bible. He would quote scripture often and would be able to debate theology with the best of them.
His family will always remember his quick wit, sense of humor and ability to make everyone laugh. He never met a stranger; he would strike up a conversation with anyone who would listen. He loved being around people and entertaining everyone.
He is preceded in death by Mother, Ada Eubanks Prewitt, Father, Robert Adeal Prewitt, Uncle Howard Keith Prewitt, Grandparents William and Allie Bertha Eubanks and Leland Adeal and Jewel Norvell Prewitt.
Survived by wife Sharon Melby Prewitt, two`sons Jake Ryan Prewitt and Luke Leland Prewitt. Grandchildren Jeremy Reyes, Francisco Reyes, Alayna Jade Prewitt, Jaxon Leland Prewitt, and Weston Scott Prewitt. Sister Laurie Edwards Nutgrass & Brother-in-law Robert Nutgrass, Brother William Richard Edwards, Jr. & sister-in-law Michelle Edwards and many cousins, nieces and nephews and Aunt Judith Prewitt Godell.
