Robert “Bob” Paul Myers passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 5, 2015 at the age of 65. Bob was born in Saint Louis, MO to parents Paul Andrew Myers and Eileen Frances Meehan Myers, both of Saint Louis, MO, on September 11, 1950. Paul, Eileen, and Bob moved to Dallas, TX when he was one year old and Bob considered himself a “native Texan”. He grew up in Lakewood with his younger sister, Mary Patricia “Pat” Myers Guerra, and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1969. He attended East Texas State University in Commerce, TX, where he studied photography, which was a life long passion of his. Bob cherished the memories he had of growing up working at the Northaven Texaco station with his father, Paul, who owned the service station. He loved the classic cars he collected, especially his 1968 Z28 Camaro, and took great pride in his skills as a mechanic. He was always going out of his way to do nice things for others and was a loyal friend to those in his life.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Shelley Myers Watson, her husband, Charles Edmund Watson, and their son, Oliver Francis Watson; his daughter, Marisa Myers; his daughter, Hannah Patterson and her boyfriend, Brian Rosner; and his sister, Mary Patricia “Pat” Guerra and her husband Rich Guerra. He is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Eileen Myers; maternal grandparents Francis Xavier Meehan and Pearl Marie Meehan; and paternal grandparents Paul Andrew Myers, Sr. and Estelle C. Myers.
A Memorial Service on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220. A reception will be held immediately following the memorial service at the home of Patricia and Rich Guerra.
