Robert Wayne Liggett Jr. was born on January 29, 1932 and passed away on July 20, 2014. He enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served from 1950-1958. Bob saw active duty during the Korean War and served on the USS McDermut and the USS Carter Hall. During a shore leave, he met his soul mate, Lenore Faudoa, and the two were later married on October 21, 1956. Bob knew hard work was a key to success and his career in sales with Mergenthaler Linotype led him to Dallas, Texas in 1964. He raised his family in Dallas for 31 years, but then retired and moved to Argyle, Texas. Although he had always expressed an interest, Bob didn't fully discover his love for wood working until retirement. Over the years, Bob handcrafted everything from mechanical pens and pencils, to children's toys and living room furniture. Bob is survived by his wife, Lenore, of 57 years, his children, Vince Liggett, Tom Liggett and wife Diane, daughter Janice McKemie and husband Randy, and grandchildren Lauren, Brooke, Kara, and Colin. The family will receive friends at Sparkman Hillcrest on Wednesday July 23, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The final services will be held on Thursday July 24, 2014 at 11:00 AM.
