Bob was known for his love of life and his belief that anything was possible through commitment and hard work. His favorite past times were spending time with family and friends and traveling. He specifically enjoyed the beautiful mountains and wildlife that surrounded him at his home in Jackson Hole, Wyoming and the wildlife he was so blessed to see on his many visits to Africa. Although traveling was his passion he also enjoyed hunting, designing homes, painting, stargazing and hiking. He was a natural salesman and a wonderful storyteller. Professionally, Bob owned one of the first Toyota dealerships in the Dallas area and later owned a Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge dealership. During the 1970’s he was acting President of the DFW Area Toyota Advertising Group. He also successfully invested in the real estate market in the Dallas, Texas and the Jackson Hole, Wyoming areas. He had a talent for designing and building luxury homes in the Jackson Hole area that were rustic and reflective of his love of nature. Bob was an active member of the Park Cities Men’s Bible Study while living in Plano, Texas. While residing in Jackson Hole, Wyoming he actively participated in his local community by becoming an active member and serving as President of his local Home Owner Association. During the early 1970’s he worked diligently as a committee member for Texas State Soil and Water Conservation to improve erosion control in Hunt County, Texas. Knight, Jr. and his wife, Heike, Kenneth Byron Knight, and his wife, Sally, and Stephen W. Knight.
