Robert Lee Dotson- a natural warrior at heart who stood on the grounds of sharing an abundant supply of love fought through many years of suffering. At 73 years old, Robert lost his war with underlying illnesses; in which contributed to the complications of Diabetes. He peacefully took his last breath on March 7, 2018 at 3:55 p.m. Robert was born to the parentage of Thomas and Rachell Dotson on October 13, 1944 where he spent his livelihood in Dallas, Tx and attended Lincoln High school. He was the third child out of five other siblings.
Robert, the communicator, and great encourager, was a man of work-ethic and talent. At a very young kid, he labored alongside his father at the church-yard as a gravedigger. Shortly after, his love for the art of music engaged him to a small R&B singing group where they performed at many night clubs around Texas. At a turning point in his life, he rededicated his life to Christ and started singing at church in a male chorus. In the more initial years of his career, he owned two small grocery stores and became an exceptional asset to Food Markets everywhere. He served as a meat expert working as an Industrial Butcher for 50+ years. While during his career, he owned a candy/store truck. Two things he appreciated doing were eating, being around his family, and being a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan. His favorite old-time player was Running back Tony Dorsett. Memories of him in the living with his two best friends yelling “Go Tony” will ring forever!
Robert preceded in death by his mother and father Rachell and Thomas Dotson; sister, Annie May Dotson; and best friends, Geno and Combo.
