Missing you my friend. A number of times over the past few year I have wanted to call you just because you would think something funny was going on in my life. I miss seeing you at Holy Trinity and catching up for the occasional lunch or dinner.  Rest in paradise with your parents and sisters.

Robert I just found out today you have gone home to be with our lord now. You were such a great friend when we worked together at MCW.  We both lost our parents during that time and always had that connection.  I never got those famous tamales you made again once we both left there. I can still taste them.   I will always have fond memories of you and your caring nature and friendship to everyone you met.  RIP my friend.

Uncle Robert, it has been so hard for me to understand why this has happened. It still does not seem real to me, but everyday since your passing my heart tells me that it is very real. It is so hard to say good-bye to you.  I never got to tell you what a great uncle you were to me when I needed one. Thank you! I have such good  memories of listening to music, going to concerts, watching MTV in grandmas living room  with you and your other nieces and nephews. You  are ALWAYS going to be my fun,  young, and handsome uncle that would let me tag along with him in his Camero.  These will always be some of my treasured memories of you.  You will be missed dearly but NEVER forgotten.

To the family of our beloved team member, Robert Aleman,

Just over 4 years ago, our team at DART was in search of an Executive Assistant.  Of the many candidates considered, Robert was the chosen one. 

During the interview, he wowed us! Near the end of the interview, after sharing with him the the nature of the position and the meaning behind why we are so passionate about the people that we serve and advocate for, he cried.  When he left the room, there was no doubt about who the successful candidate would be. 

Robert always took pride in his work. Almost always, he had a grin on his face and a “how can I help you” disposition. While in ICU, he reached out to us, concerned about an upcoming task that he needed to complete, apologetic that he was ill and unable to work. 

Robert did not talk much about himself, but he did talk about his faith and his family. He shared that he was heartbroken not to be able to spend the holidays this year with his family. Through conversations with him, it was obvious that he embraced his Catholic faith. 

You should be proud of Robert for the way he exhibited the values that he was raised by in the workplace. We certainly are! He is our family too and we miss him dearly!

Robert, I'm still in shock over the news of your passing. I can't believe your gone. I remember our last talk and  glad we had one good last laugh. Our friendship extended 38 years beginning in film class at Skyline High, working together at Sanger Harris, then eventually Foley' s. I can honestly say you ARE the only one that knows just about all my secrets, my life, my wins, and my struggles. You were a friend to the family and more importantly, my confidant. There wasn't an hour of the day when I couldnt call you to tell you about anything and everything. 
I miss you so much and I wont forget everything you've done for me out of your loyalty  for our friendship. 
Thank you my friend, you'll be forever missed. My heart is broken but grateful for your kindness always. I love you.

 I worked with Robert and enjoyed our conversations about growing up in the 70's/80's. We both had fond memories. Our favorite phrase "these kids today, just don't know".
