Rita was born on December 5, 1944, to William and Ruth Cook in Houston, Texas. Her father was a minister and pastor, and she grew up in the church playing the piano and singing.
When her father retired, she moved to Dallas, Texas, where she became a successful entrepreneur, faithful church member, Sunday school teacher, and youth leader at First United Pentecostal Church.
In 1985, she married William “Bill” Mosley and together they pastored a church in Burleson, Texas. After her husband passed, she went on to obtain her ministerial license and pastored the church until she retired.
During her retirement years, she enjoyed scrapbooking, playing cards, visiting with friends, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, William Mosley, and two sons, Robert and David Estridge.
Rita leaves behind two daughters (Rebecca Rice and Tammy Morden), seven grandchildren (Robert Blaylock, Christy Brantley, Robert Estridge Jr., Justin Morden, Britney Estridge, Heather Hildebrand, and Chandler Croney), eight great-grandchildren, and a host of friends.
