Ricki Valenta

Ricki Oliver Valenta, 69, a resident of Dallas, Texas died April 2, 2016. Born in 1946 in Wichita Falls, TX, Ricki attended Midwestern State University and University of Arkansas before becoming a full time mother for many years. For 15 years beginning in the early 1990’s, Ricki worked as a legal assistant in Dallas and Houston until her retirement. Ricki loved reading, the beach and was an animal lover. She had witty sense of humor and a great love for her family. She is survived by her father Dane Oliver of North Carolina; sister Rinda Myers of Houston; son, Stephen Valenta of Dallas, his wife Kelly and sons Tom and Hank; daughter, Shelley Valenta-Hood, also from Dallas and her husband Robin and children and great-grandson, Knox. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Sparkman Hillcrest with Bishop James Stanton presiding.
