Walthall, Richard Lee. Born July 11, 1930 in Dallas, Texas, passed away October 23, 2010, in Dallas, Texas. Richard was a medic in the Army, and a follower of Christ being baptized in 1967. He began his working life as a farmer in produce and ended up his career as a painter. He is preceded in death by sons, Don Terry Walthall, Dan William Walthall; grandson, Brandon Joseph Walthall. Survivors include: wife, Ella Ruth Walthall; son, Richard Lee Walthall Jr.; daughters, Sherry Ann Shepherd, Jo Linda Knowles, Laura Jane Stanford; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends, Tuesday, from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held, 11:00 AM, Wednesday, October 27, 2010, Grove Hill Serenity Chapel. Interment will follow in Grove Hill Memorial Park.
