Richard is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ruth Anne Seib of Dallas, Texas; his son, Tim Seib and wife Crystal Seib of Fairview, Texas; his son, Jeff Seib and wife Misty Seib of Flower Mound, Texas; his son, Jon Seib and wife Elida Dakoli of Dallas, Texas; his son, Todd Seib and wife Whitney Chouteau of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren Kennedi, Reagan, McKinley, Tabitha, Holden, Drew, Dakoli lil' Richard, Arvin, Hunter; his eagerly awaited new grandson and granddaughter who are arriving this year; his brother, Chris Seib and wife Lisa Seib of Sunset Hills, Missouri; his sister, Rose Mary Scobey and husband Joe Scobey of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; his sister, Mary Susan Beis and husband John Beis of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and 14 nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Austin H Seib and Sylvia V. (Caraker)Seib of Poplar Bluff Missouri; his sister, Judith A. Hurlbut of Yuma Arizona; his brother, Joseph F. Seib of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and his sister, Janet M. Thies of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.
Richard was born on September 1, 1939 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri to parents Austin H. Seib and Sylvia V. (Caraker) Seib. He went to pharmacy school in St. Louis and later served his country in The National Guard.
Richard was most passionate about his family. He married Ruth Anne Seib in 1963 and together they raised four sons in Dallas. He also delighted in having nine grandchildren, spending time each summer to take his entire family on vacation together. Friends will remember him as adventurous, gregarious, generous and truly larger than life. Richard was the founder of Avalon Memory Care and was proud to have each of his sons work alongside him and continue to grow his many business ventures.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday, February 14 at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home from 6pm to 8pm. The Celebration of Life will be held at Royal Lane Baptist Church on Wednesday, February 15, at 11am with Dr. Dan Griffin as officiant.
