Richard Earl Macon was born on July 22, 1930 in Dallas, Texas and passed away on September 24, 2017.
He was a graduate of Forest Avenue High School, and joined the U. S. Marine Corp in 1947 where he fought in the Korean War. Richard retired from Dallas Power & Light in 1988, after 38 years of service. He had a passion for restoring antique cars and classic Mustangs. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, LaVearle Macon.
He leaves to cherish his memory, 3 daughters; Patti Cates and husband Sammy of Terrell, TX, Sheryl Ranne of Wills Point, TX, and Cindy Howle of Caddo Mills, TX; stepchildren, Eddie Douglas, Mike Douglas and wife Rhonda, Kathie Eggleston and husband Dale; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
