Richard John Holland was born on September 5, 1991, to Ed and Liz Holland in Brunswick, Maine. Richard would later move to Texas with his family and attend Plano West Senior High School where he was the Captain of the debate team as well as a proud member of the National Honor Society. He would then go on to get accepted to the University of Texas where he attended college. Richard was enrolled in the McCombs School of Business in the Pichone Engineering: Road to Business Program. He was the Financial Director of the Freshman Business Association as well as a member of the Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity.
From a young age, Richard was passionate about sports. He was an avid golfer and was very active on several intramural basketball and soccer teams. He loved the Cleveland Indians and the Browns as well as the Texas Longhorns. Richard was filled with life. He was a people person, genuine and honest, and everyone he met became his friend. He lived life to the fullest, and life wasn’t full without family and friends. His exuberance was irresistible and Richard’s spirit lives on in every person he touched.
Richard is survived by his parents Ed and Liz Holland as well as his twin brother Michael and younger brother Robert. His Grandmothers Patricia Trimble and Jane Holland and his Grandparents Richard and Mary Holland and many loving Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins also survive him.

There is a visitation scheduled for Richard at Ted Dickey West funeral home from 6 to 9pm on Friday, September 2, 2011. The funeral service and memorial will take place on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 10am at Custer Road Methodist Church.
