Raymond Thomas Oliver, Jr. of Plano, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at his home is Plano. He will always be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and friend to all that knew and loved him. He was born on May 6, 1925 in Dexter, Missouri to Raymond and Dorothy Oliver. Tom was a Navy veteran during WWII and soon after graduated from the University of Illinois. He ran his own manufacturer’s representative company, Oliver Industrial Sales since 1965 and and was a past Exhaulted Ruler and 45 year member of the Elks #2485 Plano, Texas. As a young man, Tom enjoyed playing golf and socializing with friends and family. Tom is survived by his wife of 33 years, Wilma Oliver, his children, David Oliver, wife Leslie, Greg Oliver, wife Susan and Patricia Murphy, husband Keith, his step children, David Jacobs, wife Patti , Cathy Matthias, husband Bill, Karen Mount, husband Joe and Cheryl Grimes, husband David , his grandchildren, Jessica McMurtrey, husband Jason, Natalie Oliver, Lauren Murphy and Brett Dossey, wife Brittany, and step grandchildren Tanner, Kylie, Matt and Madison and great grandchildren Rowan, Laine, Levi, Briley and Brennon. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Paul Oliver. Memorial service to be held at a later date. Tom’s final resting place will be Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s hospital.
