Raymond Clarence Lee was born to the late Raymond Clarence Lee Sr. and Unorna Lee on September 20, 1949, in Temple, TX. Raymond attended elementary and middle school in Temple, TX and graduated from Dunbar Meredith High School in Temple. After graduating from high school, he moved to Dallas, TX to attend Bishop College where he received a football scholarship and sung in the world-renowned Bishop College Concert and Traveling Choir. Raymond graduated from Bishop College in 1973 with a degree in Sociology.
Raymond’s professional career spanned 40 years of service. His career began as a Juvenile Detention Counselor at Buckner Children’s Home. He was with the Dallas Fire Department for 29 years and served as a firefighter, fire arson investigator, senior fire prevention officer and chief polygraph examiner. Upon retirement in 2005, Raymond opened his polygraph services business, Lee & Associates Polygraph Services. Raymond was a member and former officer of the Texas Polygraph Examiners Association, the National Polygraph Examiners Association, and a devoted member of the Regular Fellows Social and Service Organization. He was also a member of Hampton Road Baptist Church where he served as a loyal greeter. When not outdoors and landscaping his yard, he had a love for all sports, especially golf. He found joy and solace in traveling and laughter with his family and friends.
Raymond Clarence Lee will forever be remembered in the hearts and minds of his family: Jacqueline Littlefield Lee, his wife of 51 years; his daughter Dedra Lee-Collins and son-in law Marius Collins; his son Raymond Clarence Lee, III (Trey), daughter-in-law Star Lee and grandchildren Keistyn, Raven and Legend; mother Unorna Lee; brother Willie Earl Robertson, sister-in-law Lucille Robertson; sister Brenda Lee; mother-in-law Dorothy Mae Edwards; niece Gay Justice and great nephew William Justice; godchildren Robin Johnson-Ford and Rodney Johnson; and a host of other family members and friends.
