He married Irma Orozco in 1959 and the couple had four children. He was Banquet Manager at Hyatt Regency where he worked for more than 25 years.
In his spare time Raymond enjoyed watching all sports, especially the Dallas Cowboys! He also enjoyed working all day in his yard, reading the newspaper, spending time with his children, grandchildren, and going to Church. His family and friends will always remember him as a hard worker and someone who never met a stranger and an excellent grandfather.
Mr. Duran is survived by his wife, Irma Duran; daughter, Margaret Palmer and her husband, Troy Palmer; son, Ray Duran and his wife, Denise Duran; son, Daniel Duran and his wife, Connie Duran; daughter, Christina Hernandez and her husband, Daniel Hernandez; along with thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Raymond will be held Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home and Crematory, 3050 N Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247. A Rosary will occur Sunday, October 10, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, 3050 N Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Monday, October 11, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Calvary Hill North Chapel, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220. An Interment will occur Monday, October 11, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220.
