Randy had a very successful career in pallet recycling. Randy and his father Tommy founded and operated two wooden pallet companies from the late 1970s until 1998 in the Dallas area when they joined a nationwide public pallet company, PalEx. Then in 2010, Randy co-founded Pal-Serv, Inc., with longtime friends and co-workers, Steve Fraser, Russ Bunker and Buddy Burgess, while growing the business to four locations and 200 employees before joining Pallet Logistics of America in 2021. His integrity, fairness, and sense of humor brought light and positivity to everyone he met.
Randy’s greatest joy was found in his family, his wife Kristen, his daughter Chandler, his son Cody, and most recently his grandson Charlie. The two experienced a very special bond, treasuring all their times together. More importantly he cherished his close relationship with his daughter Chandler and his son Cody. He loved being a dad and a Pop Pop.
Randy was also a great outdoorsman. His enjoyment was found working on Foster Ranch in Tilden, Texas, and in more recent years at West Fish Creek Ranch in Colorado. Raising champion bucks and elk hunting were among his passions.
Sports were a big part of Randy’s life, and he shared that love through his son Cody. Outside of watching Texas Football, watching his son play at Jacksonville and then later Southwestern University lacrosse was an enjoyment for Randy. He loved watching Cody play.
Weekends and holidays were celebrated with cookouts. Steaks, shrimp boils, smoked tenderloins… Randy loved cooking for his family and friends. It was a time that he and his family cherished greatly.
Randy and Kristen enjoyed traveling together and exploring destinations like Cabo, Destin, Napa, British Virgin Islands, and their home in Beaver Creek. They’ve created many lasting memories with family and friends.
Above all, Randy was the pillar of his family, providing strength and guidance through his Christian faith. His devotion to God, his family, and ensuring those he loved were saved is a reflection of his character.
Randy’s passing leaves a great void in the lives of all who knew him. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and dedication that will continue to guide and inspire his family and friends for years to come.
