Phyllis Ellena Jones

Phyllis Ellena Jones went to be with her Lord on June 8,2023. Phyllis was born in Dallas, Texas on March 13, 1926. Preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Jones and son Warren Jones. Survived by her daughters Darlene Jones, Rene Jones and grandson Zachary Jones (Taylor).

Phyllis worked for Sears for over 25 years, most of that time spent in the garden center.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, traveling, family projects such as restoring old boats and updating the house. Phyllis was very involved in children's ministries such as Vacation Bible School and Bible Clubs. One of her favorite things was to bring Bible stories to life by using flannel boards to tell the story.

After she retired, she volunteered at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens.

She loved spending time with her grandson Zack, going on picnics, to the park, attending soccer and basketball games, marching band competitions, theater performances and listening to him sing to her.

She was a longtime member East Grand Baptist and currently a member of Lakepointe Church in Dallas.

She will be missed by all that knew her.
