Phyllis Goldberg passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 in Dallas after a long, valiant and courageous struggle with cancer. She will always be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt to all that knew and loved her.
She was born in El Paso, Texas on June 3, 1931 to Herbert and Esther Gordon Rosenberg. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music from the University of Texas in 1952. She raised her family in El Paso and later moved to Dallas to be close to her sister, grown sons and their extended families. In Dallas she enjoyed work, friends and being a patron of the arts. Survivors include; her sons Steve Goldberg and his wife Shari, and Dr. Marshal Goldberg and his wife Cyndi Heller; five grandchildren Josh, Brady, Jenna, Reghan, and Kayce Goldberg; sister, June Leib; and nephews and niece Bruce Leib and wife Ginger, Nancy Leib and husband Chuck Knuf, and Tommy Leib and wife Michelle.
A Graveside Service will be held at Sparkman-Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery at 7405 West Northwest Hwy on Thursday, September 20, 2012 at 12:30 PM.
