Peter Ruiz Strickland

Peter Strickland, 82, of Dallas, Texas passed away on March 6, 2023, surrounded by family. Peter was born in Bryan, Texas and upon his return from military service, he resided in Dallas until his death. Peter and his adoptive father, Marty Strickland, owned and operated The Eagle Antiques in downtown Dallas for many years. Peter Strickland was preceded in death by his baby sister, Mary Helen Ruiz, father, Pete Garcia Ruiz, mother, Mariana Martinez Ruiz, brother, Johnny Joe Ruiz and his adoptive father, Marty Strickland. He is survived by his sisters, Annie Dockery, Mary Dockery, his brother, Edward Ruiz, cousin Olga Bargas and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Peter will be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A reception will occur Wednesday, March 15, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A graveside service will occur Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.
