Peggy Baker Bonner passed away peacefully at her home on October 13th at the age of 88. A beautiful soul, she lived her life with an abundance of love, generosity, friendship, and good humor. Her bright light will not be forgotten by those fortunate to have known her.
Born in Rockland Texas in 1935, Peggy spent her formative years in Shreveport Louisiana, where she was voted “Most Congenial” by her high school class. She was an entrepreneur, owning a jewelry boutique shop on Turtle Creek. She was active in the antiques market and was an avid collector of fine art. She raised money for the Church of the Holy Faith while in Santa Fe, and commissioned the St. Francis statue that today stands in front of the church as an iconic monument.
Peggy is survived by her children Scott, Bart, Allison, and Amy; her grandchildren Nicholas, Laura, Elise, Brooke, and Hunter; and her great-grandchildren: Kate, Emma, Luna, Ryan, and Soli.
Peggy will soon join her predeceased husband, Sid, at the Church of the Holy Faith in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
