Paula Alexander Latshaw of Addison, Texas 79, born in Muskogee, Oklahoma. She passed away March 18th, 2020 after complications from an injury. Paula & her older sister Joyce grew up in a small house behind her father’s service station. In high school she was heavily involved with debate and studies but her biggest success in her early days was winning the Betty Crocker Homemaker award which she humorously never let anyone forget. She went on to be the only woman graduate in her law school class at Tulsa University Law in 1963. After graduating she started her career with the federal government as an attorney with HUD and ending her career after serving as the Chief Administrative Judge for the Merit Systems Protection Board with almost 40 years of federal service. She was heavily involved with the Federal Executive Women’s Board and over the years developed deep friendships with this group of successful and strong women as well as many friends and family who admired her for her tenacity, strength, gumption and perseverance. Paula was a force in the world and always was ready to help those less fortunate and underprivileged. Paula leaves behind her two beloved cats Baby and Louie who have been adopted by her granddaughter Kate as well as two daughters Jana Reishus and husband Paul of Dallas, Texas and Niki Hawkins and husband Andrew of Richardson, Texas. She also leaves behind five grandchildren Katelin, Adam and Leah Reishus, Teagan and Rhett Hawkins. Paula departed this life very unexpectedly and although we miss her greatly we know she is at peace with her parents Paul and Edna Alexander, sister Joyce Tobey, grandparents, friends and family that predeceased her in this life. She is definitely watching over everyone from above probably singing her favorite song “Oh Danny Boy” and enjoying a glass of wine while wondering how she can help the Democrats win from the other side. Our family hopes to have a memorial honoring Paula's life this fall or early spring. Online condolences can be found at Paula Latshaw Obituary - Dallas, TX
