Paula G. Garcia, age 93, of Irving, Texas passed away on Thursday, September 2, 2021 in Irving, Texas. Paula was born October 27, 1927 to Ignacio and Angela M. Gonzales. She was raised in Ballinger, Texas and attended Ballenger schools through the ninth grade.
She married Jesus J. Garcia, Sr. on October 14, 1946 and the couple had five children. She was a food line server and cashier for the Irving Independent School District Food Services Department for fifteen years. In her spare time, Paula enjoyed word search puzzles, embroidery, sewing, watching the Cooking Channel and Wheel of Fortune and most especially, spending time with her family.
Her family and friends will always remember her as a woman with a strong faith, and a disciplinarian with a loving and generous heart. She will be greatly missed!!
Mrs. Garcia is preceded in death by her parents, Ignacio and Angela Gonzales; husband, Jesus J. Garcia, Sr., son, Jose Alejandro Garcia; daughter, Esmeralda Garcia and all five of her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughter, Aurora; sons, Jerome, Jesse Garcia, Jr. and his wife, Mary Selvera Garcia; grandson, Joseph Guzman and his wife, Katrina along with their children, Ciana and Joseph Guzman, Jr.; grandson, Jesse J. Garcia III and his son, Jesse J. Garcia IV; granddaughters, Cecilia M. Garcia and her children, Marisol A. Garcia and Jayson Alder; Marisol's husband, Eric Cuajunco and their daughters, Rosa Alejandra Cuajunco; many nieces and nephews; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter.
Our mother lived a long and blessed life. She touched many lives and will be forever missed and always in our hearts.
