She married Domingo G. Davila in 1960 and the couple had nine children. She spent the majority of her life serving her family as a loving homemaker, mother, and grandmother.
In her spare time, Paula enjoyed completing puzzles, crosswords, sewing, watching western movies, fright night wrestling, taking care of her plants and roses, football pots and of course, watching Dallas Cowboys games.
Her family and friends will always remember her as a strong-willed and loving mother and grandmother. She always helped others when she could and always made sure that we all knew she loved us in many ways.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Rosalia Perez; brothers, Frank Chavez Sr., Richard Chavez, Elise Perez-Husband Domingo G. Davila; son, Delfino Davila; step-son, Domingo Davila Jr.; granddaughter, Victoria Rose Chavez and grandson, Vidal Chavez, Jr.
She is survived by sisters, Lydia Perez and Pattie Perez; children, Rosa Chavez, Dolores Hernandez, David Davila, Diana Davila, Doris Hernandez, Dominga Saucedo, Delia Luna, Danny Davila; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
A visitation for Paula will be held Wednesday, January 11, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home and Crematory, 3050 N Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247. A funeral service will occur Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, 3050 N Stemmons Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75247. An interment will occur Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, Texas 75220.
