Paul L. Smith

Paul Landria Smith, 73, of Cross Roads, Texas, passed away on August 10, 2019. Paul was born December 6, 1945, in Dallas, Texas, to father Dr. Landria C. Smith and his mother Helen Hodges Smith. He graduated from Plainview High School in 1964 and earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1972. He practiced as an attorney for many years in Dallas, Texas.

Paul married Patricia Haggard Smith on September 2, 1967, in Plainview, Texas. They resided afterwards in Dallas until 1995, when they moved to Horseshoe Bay, Texas. In 2011, they moved to Cross Roads, Texas to be close to their children and grandchildren. They shared 48 loving years together until her passing on September 24th, 2015.

Paul is survived by son, Stephen Paul Smith and his wife, Jennifer, of Cross Roads, Texas; and three beloved grandchildren Garrett, Jenna, and Walker Smith. Paul is also survived by his brother David Smith and his wife Carol of Dallas, Texas, and sister Susan Smith and her husband Steve of Flower Mound.

Funeral services will be at noon on Tuesday, August 20th, at Sparkman Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas, Texas. A reception will follow at 1:00pm also at Sparkman Hillcrest.
