Paul John Reid

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Walter and Eleanor Gehricke, Frank and Elizabeth Junio, his cousin Ryan Egan, and his favorite canine companion, Addison.

Still cherishing his memory are his parents Frederick and Sue Ellen Reid of Dallas, Texas; his brother and sister-in-law Rick and Denise Reid of Denton, Texas; his daughter, Lauren Ford, and daughter-in-law, Emery Ford, of Dallas, Texas; his children Parker, Kelsey, and Taylor Reid of Prosper, Texas; his uncle Frank Junio of Frisco, Texas; his aunt Dale Ryan of Frisco, Texas; his nephew Austin Reid of Princeton, Texas; his niece Jordan Reid of Savannah, Georgia, and numerous cousins.

Paul was raised in Plano, Texas and graduated high school in 1985 from Plano Senior High School. He then attended Stephen F. Austin State University where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing in 1990. He went on to have a successful career in technology sales, working at Cisco for over 20 years before most recently working for Arista Networks.

Paul had four kids who he loved dearly and was a loyal friend to many throughout the course of his life. He loved documenting his experiences through his camera lens and sharing his many photos and videos he's taken with family and friends. He traveled across the globe over the years, enjoying fine dining and site seeing, though he was most often found spending time at home cheering on the Cowboys or Dallas Stars on TV, cooking new recipes, and relaxing with his pets, Pepper and Boo. He had a passion for fast cars, the latest-and-greatest technology, and keeping up with old friends. He is remembered for his generosity, witty sense of humor, intelligence, and as a loving father, son, brother, and friend.

A memorial service for Paul will be held Monday, March 6, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Ted Dickey West Funeral Home, 7990 President George Bush, Turnpike, Dallas, TX 75252. Contributions in Paul's memory may be made to ASPCA.
