Paul Olivarez of Dallas age 76 went to be with Jesus on Friday August 10th. Paul was a devoted husband and father. Paul was born in Coolidge, TX on April 13, 1936 to the late Francisco & Feliz Olivarez. Paul attended Delia elementary school and moved on to Coolige High school, where he lettered in both Football & Baseball. Paul had to leave school in the 11th grade to help the family in the Cotton fields. In 1953, Paul enlisted in the U.S. Navy, was assigned to an Air Squadron and spent 4 years in Japan. He then enlisted in the Army and then into the National Guard (30 years in the Military). On Christmas Eve of 1960, Paul married Lucy Garcia from Waco, TX. They lived in Waco for two years before relocating to Dallas and started their family. Later in life, Paul and Lucy moved to Lewisville and then to Wylie, TX. Paul was a life member of the Knights of Columbus and a 4th Degree Knight. He enjoyed the outdoors and his passion was gardening. He worked hard all of his life but his wealth was in his friends and family. All that knew him were blessed and his joy for life was contagious He was “Uncle Paul” to all that knew him, whether they were actually related or not.He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 51 years, Lucy Olivarez. His children: Michael, Carlos & his wife Lore, and his only daughter Erica. His grandchildren: Monica, Annalicia, Robert, Joshua, Nicolas, Sabrina, Matthew, Mario. Brother: Alfred, Sisters: Angelina and Dorothy. He is preceded in death by his Son: Richard. Brothers: David, Rueben. Sisters: Josie, Elvira, Adelita; and many other family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Viewing/Rosary: St Philip the Apostle 1897 W.
