Patricia Wilson

Patricia Ann Bass Wilson was born January 12, 1955 in Chicago, IL to Rosa L. Bass-Brown, and Clenton Stinyard. She was the eldest of 6 children born to Rosa L. Bass-Brown. She grew up and attended school in Chicago and Markham IL, and graduated from Hillcrest High School in 1972. She always loved children and was a teacher’s aide after she graduated from Hillcrest. In March of 1976 Patricia met Willie R. Wilson and they became husband and wife on August 3, 1979. To this union two children were born; Derrus L. Wilson and Sherica R. Thompson. Patricia was the proud grandmother of five grandsons, LaDerius Young, Darien Williams, Tommy Thompson III, Adrian Wilson and Deion Wilson. Patricia loved children and her home was the place where all the neighborhood kids hung out after football practice and after school. She made sure that she supported both her children in their endeavors of achieving a higher education and life skills to better their lives and those of their children. “Trish” as she was lovingly called by her cousins, never met a stranger and as a friend, you could call her night or day and if there was anything she could do for you, she was there. She loved to bake and everything she made was with love. Patricia was known as “Ms. Pat” to all Everman High School students and the children that she fed as Cafeteria Manager in the Mansfield ISD. She retired from Mansfield ISD after 15 years of service in 2012. Her love of caring for others continued as she became a home health aide and Foster Parent to Nathan Dixon and Alice Echols until 2016. On July 15, 2017 after fighting the good fight, she departed this life with her loving family at her side. Her light will be missed but she left the torch with her son, daughter and grandsons to carry on. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie R. Wilson and second mother, Martha Stinyard. She leaves to cherish her memory: her son Derrus Wilson (Kristian) , Sherica Wilson-Thompson; Mother, Rosa Lee Brown; Father, Clenton Stinyard: Sisters: Denise Townsend, (LC), Cynthia Brown-Bundage (Robert), Yvonne Grayson (Pierre); JoAnn Stinyard, Patricia Johnson, (Carl), Vickie Carroll, Sabrina Chambers, Clentonette Jessup (Melvyn); Brothers, Gregory Brown, Darryl Brown, and Tony Womack, five handsome grandsons; LaDerius Young, Darien Williams, Tommy Thompson III, Adrian Wilson and Deion Wilson. Brother-in-laws, Nathaniel (Belinda) Alton Wilson (Linda), Elvin Wilson (Linda), Thomas Wilson (Julia), Sister-in-laws, Mary Wilson-Horsley, Jeannie M. McQueen, Mattie L. Moore (Robert), Martha Little (Melvin), Carolyn Calloway, Phyllis Smith (Weldon), Doris Grooms (Charles), Amanda Wilson, Florence Douglas (E.C.), Lena Brazzell (Marion), Lisa Benton- McCutheson (Reggie), Haley Goff, and a host of nephews, nieces, grand nephews and nieces, beloved family and friends.
