Patricia Madeline Stock

Patricia (Pat) McCabe was born in Chicago, IL on October 14, 1925 and married Walter (Wally) Stock on May 2, 1945. He was a young man she met at the rehearsal for her sister’s wedding, on January 28, 1945. Thus began a fifty-five (55) year love affair that God blessed with fourteen babies. Pat and Wally moved to Dallas, Texas in 1950 with two baby sons and they made a home and new life. They raised thirteen children, 10 boys and 3 girls, in a home made of love and faith in God. She was faithful to her Roman Catholic principals and devoted member of St Bernard de Clair Vaux and then St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Pat was a founding member of the Bishop Lynch High School Mothers’ Club, and Ladies Support Group. She hosted private gatherings and dinners for the first Bishop Lynch President, Fr. O’Connell (her former spiritual teacher), even before construction of the school. Pat and Wally made lifelong friends and they were very active in social and charitable actives, which only highlight their tireless energies, because Pat never lost sight of devotion to her children’s welfare and education.

While Wally traveled each week on business. Pat made the home, creating the loving and nurturing environment that allowed thirteen babies to grow into self-sufficient, independent adults, who are each happy members of Jesus’ family.

Pat’s home was open and welcoming to new friends, friends of her children, and friends of friends. Pat will be missed because she was always a positive member of any gathering, whether two or two hundred. Words cannot describe the quiet determination, strength of character, and sweetness of heart she possessed. Pat was Wally’s “beautiful bride,” Mom to her children, Grandma/Grammy to her 38 grandchildren and Great-grandmother, GG, to her 22 great grandchildren.

Pat Stock is survived by nine sons and three daughters. Wally, with wife Kathy, Jimmy, with wife Roxie, Eddie, with wife Kenney, Bobby, with wife Debbie, Tommy, Johnny, with wife Cindy, Danny, Michael, with wife Tara, David, with wife Bea, and daughters Mary Pat, Pam, with husband Harry Kifer, Teri, with husband Mike Barnett,

There are 38 grandchildren, Trey, Craig, Shea, Aric, Leslie, Alexis, Dale, Ann, Kelly, Ronnie, Bobby, Christy, Alan, Drew, Traci, Jessica, Kevin, Matt, Bradley, Ashley, Lee, McKenzie, Sydonie, Patrick, Gabriella, Elizabeth, Claire, Jamie, Billy, Kayci, Maddie, Mikaylyn, Teddy, Pam, David, Lisa, Jonathan, and Kara.

There are 22 great grandchildren, Charlie, Reagan, Ethan, Sadie, Riley, Carter. Abby, Hayes, Emerson, Ellenor, Sam, Abigail, Cooper, Bella, Sheridan, Stella, Graham, Bryn, Sloane, Margot, and Joshua.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Stock, January 19, 2002, and son, William, April 10, 1976.
