Hunter, Patricia Ann The gentle spirit of Patricia Ann Allison departed us on May 19, 2012. Patricia was born on October 30, 1935 to Winfield Loren Allison and Catherine Papetti Allison in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. She is survived by her loving daughter, Sandra Yvonne Hunter, beloved grandpup, Bailey, and her loving sister, Katherine Baker, niece, Patsy, and nephews, Lee and Jimmy. She is also survived by her second family, brother-in-law Jim Hunter and many nephews and nieces. A gifted cellist playing with the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony she won a full music scholarship to the University of Pittsburgh. In 1958 Patricia married Thomas R Hunter. Together they had two daughters, Lauren Ann and Sandra Yvonne. In 1972 Patricia graduated from El Centro College as a Registered Nurse. Acing the Nursing Board exams on her first attempt she went on to have a varied career spanning Visiting Nurses Association, to Head Charge nurse at Dallas Rehabilitation Clinic, and private nurse for the last few years of her career. Patricia was active in the League of Women Voters, an ardent lover of reading, the outdoors, arts, and music. Visitation will be held from 5-7 P.M. at Grove Hill Funeral Home. There will be a simple graveside service at Grove Hill Memorial Park on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 3 P.M.. A day of remembrance will be held later this summer in the family home.
