Pat Neal Thurman was born September 22, 1934, to Melvin R. and Ethel(Badgett) Thurman in Seymour, TX. He was the youngest of five children. He went to be with his Lord on Sunday, September 30, 2018, at his home in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 84 years.
Pat graduated from Jacksboro High School in 1953. After graduation, he married Ann Oliver on July 17. He then attended Texas Tech University, prior to entering the US Navy. Pat and Ann's first son, Ross, was born during his time in the Navy. After his discharge from the Navy, he attended Texas University. He was then employed by Texas Instruments and, soon after, their second son, Jeff, was born. Pat worked at TI for over thirty years, and after retiring from TI, he worked for Varo. After his second retirement, he enjoyed working on his farm and welcomed Boy Scouts, Father-Son Ministries and many other friends and groups.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Thurman, his two sons Ross Thurman (wife Kathy) of Frisco, Jeff Thurman (wife Dana) of Ft. Worth, grandchildren Justin Thurman (wife Lindsay), Erin Thurman, Tyler Thurman, Alli Thurman and great- grandchild, Bryce Thurman.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Missions Ministry at Gateway Church.
