Mary Patricia Phillips, known to most everyone as Pat, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2019. She was born October 23, 1927 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Edgar (d. 1928) and Anna Mary O’Keefe Davis. In 1936, Anna married Clarence Hasting and the family moved to Dallas. Pat graduated from Highland Park High School and attended the University of Texas. In 1951, she married Thurman Phillips. Pat was a lifetime member of Arapaho Elementary School PTA and drove many years for the Cancer Society and Meals on Wheels. She was also a Stephen Minister for 15 years.
Preceded in death by her parents, dear husband Thurman, baby girl, and sisters Betsy Ann Powers and Marilyn Kiley.
Survived by children Mark and Dottie Phillips, Sharon and John Longstreet, Beth and Randy Hord, Kenneth and Lisa Phillips, Nancy and Brad Fisher, and Christopher and Karen Phillips. Grandchildren Ashley and Justin Richards, Drew and Lindzi Phillips, Matthew and Jennifer Longstreet, Patrick and Kimmie Longstreet, Steven and Lorin Longstreet, Chase and Carolyn Hord, Cole and Heather Hord, Amy and Travis Treat, Emily and Michael Martin, Christopher and Taylor Stephens, Matthew Stephens, Jake Fisher, Garrett Fisher, Amber and Colin Hanley, Lauren and Jason Cook, and Samuel Phillips. Great-grandchildren Palmer, Dakota, William, Jacob, Easton, Grayson, Tyler, Aidan, Blaine, Aubrey, Aiden, Tucker, and Emma. Her sister Ann Mary Hasting, O.S.U. and brother and sister-in-law Ed and Dena Hasting, several nieces and nephews, and many other family and friends.
Her family would like to thank special caregiver Marina Gutierrez and the wonderful staff at Twin Rivers Assisted Living, who showed Mom such love and kindness.
