

Otis Buren Conatser was born January 21, 1928 in Lingleville, Texas to John and Mable Conatser. He passed away surrounded by his family at his home in Dallas on January 25, 2011. After graduating high school in Lingleville, Texas, Otis was drafted into the military where he proudly served in the US Army. After his discharge from the military, he worked for Oil Well Supply Co. for over 45 years until his retirement. During those years he worked as manager in various cities across the United States, and he earned the opportunity of overseeing projects abroad. After his retirement from Oil Well Supply, he worked as a consultant for the World Bank. Otis was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church for over ten years. He will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, including hunting and fishing; and traveling for both work and pleasure. Otis was a wonderful husband and father, and he will be extremely missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, John Marvin, Billy Jack, and the twins Ray Holt and Kay Hickey Conatser. Otis is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Beverly Conatser; son, Craig Conatser; sisters, Betty Ruth Robinson and her husband Richard of Hobbs, New Mexico, and Mary Jo Shepard and her husband Rex of Mansfield, Texas; brothers, Jimmy Conatser and his wife Peggy of Andrews, Texas, and Bobby Conatser and his wife Jo Rita of Lingleville, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, January 27, 2011. A Graveside service will be held 12:30 PM, Friday, January 28, 2011 at East End Cemetery in Lingleville, TX.
The Conatser family is forever grateful to Jan Taylor and all the nurses of Custom Care Hospice for their endless compassion during Otis’ final days.
