Odessa Davidson Williams was born in Karnack, Texas, on September 11, 1937, to the parentage of Walter and Hattie Davidson. She was educated in the Karnack Elementary and Middle Schools and graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Dallas, Texas. At an early age, Odessa Davidson united in marriage with Charles C. Williams, and to their union, two children were born: Sheena and Charles. Odessa was a dedicated employee at Safeway and Minyard for the majority of her working life. She never met a stranger. She loved life and the people who were in hers. Odessa was a loyal member of First Freewill Baptist Church, where she held strongly to her faith. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Davidson and Hattie B. Buchanan Davidson; her husband, Charles C. Williams; and siblings, Murdice Campbell, Tony Davidson, Eddie Ray Davidson, Richard Davidson, Donnie Davidson, and Diana Davidson. Left to cherish Mrs. Williams’ memories and continue her legacy are: her children, Sheena Williams and Charles Williams; six grandchildren, LaShard “Shorty” Williams, Taeizsh “China” Narcisse, Dennis Kaye, Charles Williams, Montriana Smith, and Blake Williams; speical granddaughter, Donbria Davidson; three great-grandchildren, Jamiee, Taylor, and Summer Narcisse; one brother, Billy Davidson; special friends, Josie Drake, Adella Jackson, Louise Crowder, Evoynne Hicks, Faye Kemp, Charlotte K. Dodson, De’Wayne Pinkard, Mary Washington and Charles Young; her precious dog, Lil’ Momma; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
