Nervin Joseph Boudreaux passed away on December 9, 2024, at the age of 88 in Plano, TX. Nervin was born in Chackbay, Louisiana to Lester and Malvina Boudreaux in 1936. In 1959, Nervin was drafted in the Army and served in the motor pool at Fort Hamilton, where he was a favored driver for the officers at the base. After the Army, Nervin, or “Bou” as he was known to his friends, joined Amoco Corporation where he began working on a seismograph crew. He worked for oil companies in various capacities for his entire career, where he earned the respect and friendship of his co-workers due to his work ethic and sense of humor.
Nervin was a truly good man who was always ready to help anyone in need. He was also a loving husband, father and grandfather. He met his beloved wife, Marianna Thibodeaux Boudreaux, on a date set up by mutual friends. They were married and devoted to each other for 57 years. He is survived by his son, John Boudreaux and wife Diana, and daughter Annette Boudreaux Dorris and husband Keith. Nervin is also survived by his four grandchildren—Trenton and Matthew Boudreaux and Alexander and Chloe Dorris. He is also survived by his sister, Cecile Thibodaux and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Vadelia Kliebert as well as his adoring wife Marianna.
